Garden Maintenance in Gloucestershire
Chris has been trading in Bristol as the Garden Doctor since 2005. Following an environmental management degree he worked in the North West in conservation, country parks management and environmental education. He apprenticed to a small school grounds landscaping and education company in Manchester, then studied arboriculture and qualified as an arborist at Merrist Wood in 2004.
He came to Bristol in 2003 and worked as an arborist and a language teacher while starting a gardening business. Chris has the RHS Advanced Horticulture certificate and RFS Certificate in Arboriculture.
Areas of developing professional interest include tree houses, streams and cascades, living willow work, green roofs and walls. When family and business duties allow, Chris still likes to work in his own garden until after dark or vanish into the Wessex hills and woodlands.

Mark joined Garden Doctor in 2008 having worked in gardening and more recently tree surgery since 1983.
Having worked in Ireland and southern Germany in the early 90's he returned to study horticulture at Lackham College, achieving a National Certificate of Horticulture at distinction level, specialising in organic horticulture. Mark then worked with several notable Bristol landscaping companies, expressing his creativity in design and build of private gardens, and consolidated his construction skills with Spillers for two years.
Beyond gardening and landscaping, Mark is a devoted and accomplished musician, playing guitar and violin. You may even encounter him as soul and funk master, dj-ing on weekends somewhere in Bristol.
